Feather Flags

Printed and delivered in Charlotte

The one you see on every corner and every lot — tall, narrow, and it moves. That movement is the whole point: a sign on a wall gets looked past, and a flag catches the eye from down the block.

Every one comes as a complete kit — printed flag, pole and base, in the box. Set it up in about five minutes with no tools.

See it before you order. Put your design on the flag right here and look at it at the height you picked. Once you order, our team goes over the artwork — and if we spot something that will not print right, we come to you with the fix.

One side prints your artwork once. It shows through to the back reversed — readable, but backwards. Right when traffic only passes one way.

That is the whole thing standing up — pole, flag and all. 9 ft is the sidewalk flag, right beside a door. 14 and 18 ft are the ones you see from the road.

The stake screws into the ground and holds through weather. It is the one to pick if the flag lives on a lawn or a median.

If we find something that will not print right, we tell you what it is and how to fix it — before it goes anywhere. What you are getting

A complete flag kit. The printed flag, the pole it slides onto, and the base that holds it down — all of it, in one box. There is nothing else to buy to stand it up.

In the box

The flag itself

A 4 oz knitted polyester flag, printed by dye sublimation at high resolution. The ink goes into the fibre rather than sitting on top of it, which is why it will not crack or peel, why it survives a wash, and why the flag still hangs soft and moves instead of going stiff.

  • Weather resistant. Built for sun, rain and everyday wind.
  • Scratch resistant and washable. Hose it down, wash it, put it back up.
  • A curved sleeve and a free-flying edge — so it swings around the pole and catches the eye instead of wrapping itself up and going quiet.
  • Light and portable. The whole kit goes in the bag and travels in a back seat.
  • Easy to put up. No tools, about five minutes.

One side or both

One sidePrinted once. The artwork shows through to the back, readable but reversed. Right when traffic only comes from one direction, and the cheaper of the two.
Both sidesTwo printed panels with a blockout layer between them, so it reads correctly from either direction and neither side bleeds into the other. What you want on a corner, a median, or anywhere people pass both ways.

Heights

The height is the whole thing standing up — pole, flag and base together.

9 ftThe sidewalk flag. Beside a door, on a patio, at a booth. Tall enough to be seen from across the parking lot, short enough not to fight an awning.
10.5 ftA step up without a big jump. Clears parked cars.
14 ftThe one you notice from the road. If your street has traffic on it, this is the one you want.
18 ftSeen from the far lane. For a road with speed on it, or a lot set back from the street.

Stake or cross base

Ground stakeA spike that screws into grass or dirt. Holds the best of the two, and it disappears once it is in.
Cross baseA weighted steel cross that sits on top of a hard surface — concrete, asphalt, tile, a showroom floor. Indoors or out.
BothOne flag that moves between the lawn out front and the sidewalk sale. Swap the base and go.

Your artwork

Design it tall and narrow. The name goes big at the top where it clears the cars, one short message under it, and nothing important in the corners — the top curves and the bottom sits low.

Send the biggest, highest resolution file you have. We scale it to the height you picked, and our team checks it over once you order — if anything will not hold up at that size, we come to you with what to change.

Two or three words read from the road. A paragraph does not.

Standing them up

  • Push the pole together section by section, slide the flag sleeve down over it.
  • Set the base — screw the stake in, or drop the pole into the cross base.
  • Let it spin. The flag is meant to swing around the pole with the wind. That is what makes it catch an eye, and it is also what keeps it from tearing.
  • Take it down in a storm. Everyday wind is what it is built for. A named storm is not.

Where they go

Out front on the grass, along the sidewalk, at the mouth of a lot, beside a door, at a booth, the end of a long driveway. Anywhere you need someone at 40 miles an hour to know you are there.
